I keep a blog, where I post about travel, education, social equity and other topics.

I also have a separate reading blog, where I keep track of what I've read, and post short reviews.

Here are a couple of essays I've written. One is about class size in the public schools; it's funny and angry. The other is my Pushcart Prize-winning essay about my musician father's "Final Concert." It's a tear-jerker. You may also view a list of some of the young adult novels I've had published.
